Dr. David Schmid (Dr. Dave)
Dr. Dave grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia, attending St. Michael’s Catholic School, Wheeling Central Catholic High School and West Liberty University. He is the son of David and Eleanor Schmid of Wheeling and has three sisters.
Dr. Dave is married to his wife, Krystal who is a Veterinarian at Towne and Country Animal Hospital. They are expecting their first child, a little girl, in the Fall 2022. They also have two dogs, Cooper and Charlie, a silver lab and a long haired dachshund.
Dr. Dave enjoys golfing, playing ice and inline hockey, taking guitar lessons, drawing and painting, and rooting for WVU and Pittsburgh sports teams.

Dr. Gabrielle Helms (Dr. Gabby)
Dr. Gabby grew up in Wheeling, WV with her brother Dr. Dave and two sisters. They all attended St. Michael’s Catholic School and Wheeling Central High School. Her parents, David and Eleanor Schmid reside in Wheeling as well as her in-laws, John and Karen Helms.
She met her husband, Steven, in Morgantown, WV while attending dental school. They lived in Martinsburg, WV for six years prior to moving back to their hometown to be closer to family. Steven is an Occupational Therapist at Peterson Rehabilitation. They have two children, Colson who is 3 years old and Adalynn who is 1 year old. They are new members to Our Lady of Peace Parish.
Dr. Gabby enjoys crafting, painting, puzzles, and amateur photo shoots of her little ones. She loves Disney and watching reruns of The Office. Most of all, she loves spending time with her family and playing with her kids.

Dr. Mary Palmer Gioia (Dr. Mary)
Dr. Mary is a lifelong resident of Wheeling, West Virginia and is the daughter to Robert and Shirley Palmer with 3 siblings and many nieces and nephews in the area. Dr. Mary graduated from Wheeling Central Catholic High School in 1976 and is an active member of St. Michael Parish where her children attended school.
She is married to Dr. Vincent Gioia who has been practicing ophthalmology for 32 years. They have two children, Anthony Gioia who is 33 years old and a Mechanical Engineer in Austin, Tx and Lauren Gioia, MD who is 32 years old and an Ophthalmologist in Spokane, WA with her husband Damian Hegsted, MD who is an Emergency Medicine Physician.
Dr. Mary loves being a homemaker and mother practicing Dentistry for 35 years and Dental Hygiene for 4 years prior. She also enjoys music, piano, shopping, traveling and cruising.
